Ogre Idol Contest Rules
1. Contestants must be of legal age to enter-
(21 years of age)
2. (1) $50 weekly prize- (1) $150 grand prize
& a 3 song demo recording at Stillwater
Recording Studio
3. The amount of contestants at a qualifying
round will be determined the night of the
contest.(10 Max)
4. Advancing contestants are encouraged to
bring as many family, friends and fans to the
Karaoke Contest.
5. This contest is for individuals only (No
group or duet songs)
6. Only one entry per person.
7. Each contestant shall use only the
equipment and music provided by Happy
Ogre Entertainment L.L.C.
8. Any contestant guilty of distracting any of
the other contestants while they are
performing shall be disqualified.
9. Any contestant guilty of insulting or starting
any confrontation with any audience or other
contestants shall be disqualified.
10. Any contestant found damaging
equipment shall be disqualified.
11. Any contestant that faces the dreaded
malfunction of the equipment has the option
of starting over.
12. This does not include the contestant
bumping into the equipment causing a skip
or turning off the microphone while singing.
13. If it is judged that the contestant
purposely caused a malfunction of the
equipment. This is grounds for
disqualification.
14. Each contestant shall be judged by the
following categories.
I) Vocal Ability (20 Max)
II) Stage presence (10 Max)
III) Audience participation (10 Max)
IV) Audience reaction. (10 Max)
15. Vocal Ability shall be judged on a scale of
1 to 20. The remaining categories on a scale
of 1 to 10 for a 50 point maximum score!
16. If at the end of the first judged song there
is a tie, the contestants, who are tied for first
place only, will sing another song of their
choice!
17. Contestants may perform the same song
as another contestant in any round.
